Young Europeans' Jean Monnet Prize

The Young European's Jean Monnet Prize aims to introduce students with contemporary European literature and young writers. It exists since 2006 at the initiative of Jean Monnet Cognac school, in partnership with the Poitou-Charentes and the Delegation Academic Cultural Education in the Rectory of Poitiers. But why create another award? What this award stands there for others and what are these characteristics?

> To introduce students to contemporary European literature and highlight the younger generation of writers
> Open this award to all of the gymnasiums
> Giving students a taste for reading: to make reading a pleasure reading
> Promoting exchanges, meetings between students and authors
> To actively involve students through the dimension of price

A meeting with the authors and award ceremony will take place Thursday, November 18th at 2pm at the Congress Centre La Salamandre.
